This delightful book was purchased on Amazon.com at an excellent price. This book was purchased as a present. I had never read the book and found it to be not only a very creative story, but a wonderful teaching tool.
I had forgotten what an enchanting and original story this little classic was and treated my son to a hard cover edition for Xmas as his childhood one was looking a bit tattered. Great book to read together at any age and surprisingly the story has stayed relevant and enjoyable - if you've seen the movie you must have the book.
I bought this book because I wanted to know the basis for the new book by David Eggers. Because I'm dutch, I did not know this beautiful book.I hope for all Dutch children it is translated. I'm going to search for it, for my nephews.Have fun with it.
I loved this book as a kid and just bought it for my sister's upcoming baby.
I have a 9 month old and am collecting classic story books for her to enjoy. I love reading it to her, but I can't wait to hear her read it for herself. This book should be in every childs collection.
